We couldn't provide our lifesaving services without the people who support us. Get involved in your local area, sign up for an event or organise your own. Whatever you do, you'll make a real difference to the lives of people living with TB in Africa and Asia.
Fundraising is all about ideas, whether they are big or small anything is possible:
· Cycle power - The Soroptimist International club in Wakefield took on the challenge and raised £1,300 by cycling to Africa. They took a shortcut though – they did it from their local health club! Between them they cycled a combined distance further than Wakefield to Lusaka on exercise bikes. Inspiring stuff ladies! · Pub Quiz – everyone loves a pub quiz and we even have a few ready made – just drop Heather a line on 01273 827070 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it · Cheese and wine tasting - why not approach a local wine merchant about hosting an event. · Dress down at work day or perhaps a cake sale. · Coffee morning or a “Posh Picnic” event at the races. · Auction – get local business to donate prizes that really grab people’s attention, and then sell as many tickets as you can. · BBQ – Host an African themed bbq, check out www.barbecue-online.co.uk for ideas.
Click here to download our Fundraising Pack, in it you’ll find lots of inspiration to get you started, it is by no means exhaustive though and you will undoubtedly have ideas of your own. As long as it’s safe and legal – go for it!

Target TB at the Henfiled Summer Fair 2011
Target TB had its first ever Summer Fair stand this year at the Henfield Summer Fair. All thanks to our fabulous volunteer Rachel, who organised the event with help from her friends and family and raised a whopping £100. Rachel has been a volunteer for Target TB since March and is a fabulous member of the Target TB team. Pick a Lolly, Giant snakes and ladders and a tombola helped raise the much needed funds whilst keeping lots of people at the fair entertained. Our thanks go to Rachel - if you would like to find out how you can make a difference by fundraising for Target TB just e-mail Heather on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
